This project will look at the protocols for Redband trout status evaluations across the State of Washington and the Coville Confederated Tribes and Spokane Tribe of Indians lands.

The State of Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will assess historic, current and needed future sampling of populations of Redband trout. To date there have been no coordinated efforts to assess the status redband trout across their range in the Western US and speciffically in Washington. This project will be conducted in parallel with a Western Native Trout Initiative Redband Status review.

The project will provide a presence/absebce assessment of Redband trout throughout their expected range in Washington.
