Trout creek is one of four isolated trout streams north of the McCloud River on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Increase OHV use within Trout Creek Campground has resulted in degradation of redband trout and riparian habitats. With this project, habitat will be improved for redband trout, eroding banks will be stabilized, and OHV impacts will be mitigated on the lower perennial reach of Trout Creek within Trout Creek Campground.
Objectives:
- The objective is to improve habitat for redband trout by stabilizing eroding banks and mitigating OHV impacts on the lower perennial reach of Trout Creek.
