Five culverts were identified for replacement on Trail Creek as fish barriers by the USFS in 2006. Maggie Gulch, Timber Gulch and Hutch Creek contain either existing or potential fish habitat for redband trout, a state sensitive species. Spring and Alexander creeks contain springs which are important contributions for water flow in Trail Creek. All undersized culverts will be removed, which will restore fish passage in 2.7 miles and improve the riparian health of another half mile.
