CCDP-2008-4 Coastal Cutthroat Trout Database Project

Gather information and data on the distribution of coastal cutthroat trout in WNTI States and develop a database structure with GIS based mapping to distribute and share information to WNTI states and other interested parties.

a. Use a fisheries data specialist to collect and quantify coastal cutthroat trout (CCT) data from partner states.

b. Use staff fishery biologists, GIS Specialist and a Technical Data Coordinator to develop a CCT
database structure that captures CCT observational information, as well as quantitative status and trend information from California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska

c. Catalog CCT data including a standardized georeferencing to enable the display and query of observation sites ina GIS-based system.

d. Develop a new mapping tool based on ESRI’s ArcGIS Servertechnology using PSMFC’s existing hardware and software licenses.
